Updates 06/07/07 ~ Sandra Huggett Online has moved to a new location and has also had a mini revamp - hope you like the new look :) I am beginning to re-do the gallery as the pictures that were there were horrendous quality, so I will gradually replace them with proper screencaps (thanks to Saz, my new official screencapping person!) |
![]() Sandra starred in the first, and only, series of Sweet Medicine in the fourth episode. It was first aired on Thursday 25th September 2003. She played the character Annette. Annette is engaged to Mark, who is a good friend of Jeff, one of the doctors. Mark is told by Jeff that his cancer has come back, that he has a brain tumour - and there’s nothing more they can do to treat it. Mark is reluctant to tell Annette, he wants to leave it until after the wedding so that it doesn’t spoil the day. Jeff urges him to tell her straight away, that he shouldn’t lie to her, but Mark is adamant. Mark and Jeff are both into rowing, and are taking part in a race together. Unfortunately, they lose the race, and afterwards, partly because of their bad moods, they have an argument. Jeff tells Mark that he should tell Annette about the cancer, but Mark insists that he shouldn’t and storms out. Annette comes looking for him, and Jeff takes the opportunity to go against his friend’s wishes and tell her. The next day, Jeff goes to see Annette at the kennels where she works. She tells him that the wedding has been called off, that Mark can’t see the point anymore. It was supposed to have been the happiest day of their lives, but knowing what was around the corner would just have spoiled the day. Annette blames Jeff for telling Mark about it in the first place, and Jeff is devastated that he appears to have ruined things for them. Later that day, Marks goes to see Annette at the kennels. He is clearly trying to tell her that he has changed his mind about calling off the wedding, but he can’t seem to find the words. However, Annette picks up what he is trying to tell her and they hug. The episode ends on their wedding day, with Annette promising tearfully through their wedding vows to love him in sickness and in health, until he dies. |
